Our Mission

Friends of FoCo Fondo creates access, opportunity, and community connection for people who ride bikes or want to ride bikes.

Two women are hugging, one wearing a pink and green cycling shirt with rainbow and heart patches, and the other wearing a colorful camouflage shirt. They are smiling and appear joyful. The woman in camouflage is holding a phone. They are part of a group with others in the background, some wearing helmets and casual clothes, at an outdoor event. The environment is green and appears to be a park or outdoor venue.

Leadership Program

Our Leadership Program was established to create space for local leaders in four key historically underrepresented areas in cycling: BIPOC, Non-Binary/Gender Expansive, Para, and Women. Each one of these leaders belongs to the underrepresented areas that they lead.

We are compensating each of these local leaders for their time and to continue to grow deep roots in Fort Collins while lifting and supporting athletes everywhere.

Scholarship Program

Our Scholarship Program is led by the Program Leaders for the BIPOC, non-binary/gender expansive, and para communities.

The goal of this program is to reduce barriers to entry to FoCo Fondo. Scholars receive financial assistance for travel and housing, educational opportunities for training and wellness, and a community of peers for the journey from selection to event day.

Clinics

Confidence on the bike looks different for everyone. For some, it’s simply getting comfortable on the bike for a short ride with friends without stopping at every turn to navigate the apex. For others, it’s being offered the opportunity to learn in a group of women without the pressure of another gender. And for others, it could be improving mechanical skills to become more self-sufficient on the bike.

Whatever confidence looks like for you, we have a handful of clinics to help you build your confidence your way and find belonging on the bike.
